Hubballi: BJP MLA and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar opined that proper representation should be given to JDS leader, MLC, senior politician from North Karnataka Basavaraja Horatti in the coalition government.

Speaking at Hubballi Taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelana here on Sunday, Shetter expressed surprise over statesman like Horatti not having been considered for the ministry.

They gave Higher Education Ministry to G T Devegowda, who studied only class 8. How can he address the students during the University convocations? Instead, they could have chosen Horatti who has knowledge about the education field. He could have increased the value of that post with his profound knowledge, Shettar said.
