Bengaluru: Following complaints that lockdown is not implemented strictly in the city, home minister Basavaraj Bommai himself took a tour around the city with Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Rao and joint commissioner of police Sandeep Patil in a private car. The Home Minister saw that several vehicles were roaming freely on the roads and many of them were seized.
Bommai visited Shivajinagar, Majestic, Tannery road, Peeena and other places. He spoke to a police constable on duty and enquired about why these numbers of vehicles are plying on the road.
Later he asked CoP Bhaskar Rao to ensure that lockdown is implemented strictly and social distancing will be maintained.
