Home Minister asks cops to be courteous

Bangalore:State Home Minister KJ George has exhorted police personnel to be courteous with public while also giving top priority to maintenance of law and order.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Congress party office at Dasarahalli Assembly constituency limits on October 6, Sunday.

Ramalinga Reddy, State Transport Minister who was present as a chief guest, said a full-fledged BMTC bus stand would be constructed near Peenya at a cost of Rs 32 crores. He said under the NURM scheme 285 new buses would be sanctioned to the city. There are plans to offer public conveyance facility in 29 towns of the state under the scheme, he added.
