Bengaluru: Bengaluru Rural District Home Guards Commandant Dr.B.Amaranath, has been awarded doctorate for his thesis by Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), on January 12, 2016.
Amaranath conducted the training under the guidance of Dr.H.R.Nagendra Guruji, Chancellor, S-Vyasa Yoga University and Dr.Sudheer Deshpande, Former Registrar of S-Vyasa Yoga University, Dr.B.N.Gangadhar, Dean of the Department and Director, NIMHANS
The experiment: A total of 148 home guards, both male and female in the age group 20-45 years, took part in the study. While 75 of the participants were involved in the integrated yoga module, the rest formed the control group. The participants underwent two months of yoga classes which included 60 minutes of practice, six days a week in 2013.
He studied 16 different Theory subjects for 4 semesters and in 2 years, completed his 44 credits and presented his pre synopsis in 2012 June, which was approved by The Ethical Committee. In 5th and 6th Semester he started research work and simultaneously presented 10 published journal articles in Journal Club.
