Bengaluru: Bengaluru city traffic police known for adopting innovative methods to trap traffic violators have a new idea in the mind. They will be knocking the doors of traffic violators to collect pending fine amount in the future.

After noticing a quantum leap in the number of cases of traffic violations where fine amounts are due, police have finally decided to knock the doors of traffic violators.

In Bengaluru city alone, traffic violators have not paid fines in 22,376 cases.

Disclosing the information, ACP (Traffic) R Hithendra said, “Police officials will be visiting the houses of traffic violators to collect the fine amount. At the same time they will be educating them on the essence of adhering to traffic rules” and added, “the collection drive will continue.”
