Hindu Harsha murder: Cong goes after Ministers Jnanendra, Eshwarappa

Bengaluru: The murder of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha, popularly known as Hindu Harsha has not only created a tensed situation in Shivamogga District since Sunday February 20 but also has given an issue for Congress to rally against BJP Government in the State.

In the wake of this incident, the Congress has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Araga Jnanendra and Minister K. S. Eshwarappa, who hail from the region. Siddaramaiah insisted on atren action against the culprits irrespective of their connections. He also sought Home Minister’s resignation taking moral responsibility for the untoward incident in his home district.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai urged people in the region to maintain peace and said the suspects will be detained soon. “A youth called Hindu Harsha has been killed in a stabbing incident. He is a worker of our organisation. Investigation has started. Several clues have been obtained, I have been informed. We are confident that the suspects will be arrested soon,” he said.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has instructed the police to see that no untoward incidents occur in the region. He also appealed to Shivamogga citizens to maintain peace. Further, he assured that legal action will be taken against culprits as the clue as to who are involved has been obtained.
