High Court stays case proceedings against Moily

Bengaluru: In a criminal case  registered against him on April 12, 2014, for allegedly violating certain conditions imposed on him by the returning officer, the order of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Chickballapur was stayed by the the Karnataka High Court on Monday.

Justice A.N. Venugopala Gowda passed the order on a petition filed by Mr. Moily, which had questioned the order.

The case related to violations of stipulations prescribed,  while granting permission for a procession organised as part of his election campaign.
