Bengaluru: An actor who acted in Sandalwood movie ‘Sarkar’ as the lead, and three of his associates have been arrested by the CCB sleuths while they were trying to sell revolvers and live bullets illegally in the city on Sunday, November 4.

The arrested actor has been identified as Jagadish S Hosamat, a native of Hubballi. Police have recovered two revolvers and 21 live bullets from the arrested accused.

According to the police, Jagadish was unemployed after his movie flopped at the box office. He later joined a gang, that sold revolvers illegally in the city.

“Recently, police seized a courier sent from Hubballi to the city, in which live bullets were found. During the investigation, it was found that a racket is behind this illegal supply of revolvers and bullets. Based on the information and the witness accounts they collected, Jagadish and his associates were arrested,” informed police.
