Mangaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada from June 5 to 8.

IMD has also warned of rain with lightning and thunder.

The rain is going to lash Hassan, Shivamogga, Ramanagara, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts.

Yellow alert is a signal of just watch and the weather condition during this alert is heavy rain from 7.5 to 15 mm.
