Bengaluru: The pre-summer monsoon has become active in many parts of the state, especially in the Malnad region.
The IMD has issued yellow alert for four districts of this region till April 26 forecasting heavy rainfall.
Shivamogga, Hassan, Chikkamagalur and Kodagu are the districts where yellow alert has been issued and IMD has warned of heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall has been predicted in coastal districts-Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada and a few areas in North Karnataka region.
Amid the rainfall forecast, temperature continues to soar across the state.
In several districts including Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Dakshina Kannada the temparature stands at about 30 degree celcius even in the night.
