Bengaluru: The BBMP control rooms were flooded with complaints of tree falling and waterlogging, after the city experienced heavy downpour for over two-hours on Saturday April 25
Tree falling were reported at Ali Asgar Road, Cunningham Road, Queens Road, near Press Club, MG Road, Shantinagar, near Hosmat Hospital, J P Nagar First Phase, KEB Road, Katriguppe, Indiranagar, Jayanagar and other areas.

The rainfall was accompanied by strong winds moving from south-westerly direction. Hailstorm was also reported in some places like Koramangala and M G Road.
Water clogging was reported at Anil Kumble Circle, Binnymill Road, near Kino, Sujatha theatres, Kalidasa Circle at Majestic and K R Circle underpass.
Traffic movement went out of control on Dr Rajkumar Road, Okalipuram Junction, Double Road in Shantinagar, Bannerghatta Road, Vidyapeetha Circle, Basavanagudi, City Market, Bhashyam Circle in Sadashivanagar and on Ballari Road.
Reportedly, Bescom received 7,509 calls and 2,391 complaints from public.
The highest quantity of rain was recorded between 5.15 pm and 6.45 pm – 27 mm. IMD- Bengaluru Director, Sunder Mahadev Metri said that the City, rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected for the next two-three days.
