Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister and political guru of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, H D Deve Gowda met the CM at his Bengaluru residence and condoled the death of his son Rakesh on Wednesday, August 3.

“It’s god’s play and that cannot be overturned. Let him give you more strength to bear the brunt of pain due to the loss of your beloved son,” Deve Gowda said.
Interestingly, Siddaramaiah came out of his residence, hugged and greeted Deve Gowda when the moment his security men informed about his arrival. Both were in the same mood of losing someone who shared great love, onlookers said.
Although, the CM and others in the present government have left JDS and joined Congress, they still have great respect for him.
It may be recalled that Siddaramaiah’s close confidante CM Ibrahim had recently said that, “Without Appaji (Father) I am nothing”. Both the leaders and many in fact, share the same emotional attitude with Deve Gowda.
