HC serves notice to BBMP commissioner, Chief Secy

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court ordered to serve an immediate notice to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner and Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka related to an alleged corruption.

The petitioner alleged misappropriation worth many crores in purchasing truck mounted sweeping machine and demanded that the investigation be handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The public interest litigation (PIL) by R Gopal was considered for trial by the Divisional Bench including Justice B Veerappa and Justice S Suneel Dut Yadav, on May 4.

The court also ordered to serve notice to the defendants BBMP executive engineers and M/s TPS Infrastructure Limited Company.
