Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday refused to grant bail to Abdul Saboor, a suspected member of the banned Indian Mujahideen, who was arrested on the charges of procuring and supplying explosive materials to other members of the banned organisation for carrying out bomb blasts during the visit of the then U.S. president Barack Obama in 2015.

A Division Bench comprising Justice B.S. Patil and Justice B.V. Nagarathna refused to allow the plea of Saboor, a native of Bhatkal, who has been in judicial custody since his arrest by the Central Crime Branch police in 2015. He is arraigned as accused number two in the case.

A Sessions Court in the city on July 27, 2016, had refused to enlarge him on bail.
