Bengaluru: A II Pre University College student committed suicide on Tuesday, May 7, allegedly, due to harassment by her childhood friend. Her parents have lodged a complaint with the Ramamurthynagar police of the city.

According to the police, Leena (17) committed suicide after hanging herself inside her room on. She was studying in II PUC in a private college of the city.

She is the daughter of a contractor Srinivasa Murthy.

The incident came to light when her parents visited her home. The police recovered a death note from her room.

In his complaint to the police, Srinivasa Murthy alleged that the deceased’s childhood friend by name Manjunath was harassing her. Leena was under stress because of his harassment.

Police have registered an FIR against Manjunath.
