Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President B S Yeddyurappa blamed Wakf, Minorities Welfare Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan for creating unnecessary confusions regarding renaming Haj Bhavan. While it is said that the minister has suggested the renaming of the Haj Bhavan after Tipu Sultan, the BJP has expressed its opposition to the same.

BSY, instead has said that if there are proposals to rename the Haj Bhavan, then it must be renamed after the former president of India APJ Abdul Kalam.

Let’s wait and watch.”

Regarding the Central government’s formation of Cauvery Water Management Authority without considering the interest of Karnataka, BSY said that the previous Congress government didn’t take necessary steps. Even the coalition government is not concerned about the issue. They have failed to appoint their representatives to garner he opinions of the state, he added.
