Bengaluru: The GST council closed its Twitter handle GST@GoI (@askGST_GoI) on August 1.   This means the taxpayers can’t pose questions and get relief via microblogging site anymore.

According to the twitter handle followers, since August 1, the handle has become silent and questions posed by the taxpayers have been left unanswered. But sources claim that less number of questions was the reason behind closing the handle. 

This twitter handle was started on July 1, 2017, with the launch of the GST regime in the country to provide an accurate answer to the questions posed by the taxpayers and the general public. It was a hit among both the general public and the taxpayers due to instant replies.
