Bengaluru: A group of Congress MLAs comprising of Yesvantpur MLA ST Somasekhar, Jevargi MLA Ajay Singh, KR Puram MLA Bhairathi Basavaraj met DCM Dr G Parameshwar at his residence on Wednesday. They urged him to fulfil their demands including appointments to various boards and corporations.

The meeting lasted for around 30 minutes. After the meeting with DCM G Parameshwar, all the MLAs continued their meeting at the residence of Ajay Singh, which led to confusion. However, later the MLAs clarified that they are meeting just for a cup of tea.

Speaking to the reporters, ST Somasekhar alleged that he has been given BDA chairman’s post without sanctioning any powers. “Officers are selling sites illegally. Apartment works have stopped. No officer is listening to me,” he said.
He made it clear that the meeting of the like-minded MLAs has been postponed and not cancelled. “I will fix the new date soon,” he said.
