Bangalore:Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that there was no question of government intervention in the process of transfer of police officials which is being effected through the Police Establishment Board.
Speaking to reporters here, the CM said the transfer process is being done through the Board constituted as per the Supreme Court directive. It would be wrong on the part of the government to interfere in this process. The allegations of the opposition in this regard are baseless, he added.
On the formation of a Co-ordination Committee between the Government and the KPCC, Siddaramaiah said such Committees are not restricted to Karnataka but are formed in all states ruled by the Congress. There is no need to attach special significance to it, he added.
He said the JD(S) Supremo Deve Gowda has made unnecessary comments on the committee. He has nothing to do with the internal affairs of the Congress, let him not forget this while commenting, the CM said.
