Bengaluru: Even though the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy-led state government is shaky and counting its numbers due to the defection of the JDS and Congress MLAs, there seems to be no end to the transfers. On Wednesday, July 17, the state government transferred 30 DySPs and 146 police inspectors, most of them in city areas.

According to sources in the state home department, the transfer orders were issued after DG-IGP Neelamani Raju withdrew the temporary restrictions imposed on the transfers.

“Most of these transfers have been made in Bengaluru city. Almost all the stations have got a new inspector,” informed an officer from the home department.

It can be recalled that last week, DG-IGP Neelamani Raju put riders on the police transfers based on the instructions from the Governor’s office.
