Bengaluru: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Suresh Kumar has said that stern action will be initiated against school, which fail to give holidays to students studying from Pre Kindergarten to Class V till March 31.
The Minister had announced holidays till March 31 to schools in wake of Corona Virus fear.
According to the order all private, government and government-aided schools should declare holidays to said classes in Bengaluru.
However, it was found that some schools had not announced holidays despite the order.
Responding to this, the Minister, in a tweet, has said that the situation is volatile and the schools have to follow the order without fail or get ready to face the music.
“The well-being of the kids is more important than the school’s fame and prestige. You do not run your own empire. No matter how influential the management of these schools are, action will be initiated against them,” the tweet read.
There have been instances of four positive cases of Corona Virus in the state and with the fear gripping the state, the Department of Primary and Secondary education declared holidays.
