Bengaluru: The state government released Rs.300 crores toward the Covid – 19 management to the BBMP.

As per the government order, this amount shall be utilised for the Covid – 19 related activities including hiring the outsourced staff, testing, purchase of PPE kits, oxygen, vaccination and other activities. The fund has been released under the SDRF.

The government has asked the BBMP to ensure that the grant will be utilised as per the existing norms. Further, it warned BBMP against any kind of misappropriation of fund.
