Bengaluru: One of the famous agri exhibitions in the country is annual agri exhibition of Gandhi Krish Vigyana Kendra (GKVK) in the city, which is conducted every year in November.
Progressive farmers, farm companies, agri business stakeholders across the country have been participating in this prestigious event. However, this year, the exhibition will go online.
According to the sources in GKVK, initially it was decided to organise the event between November 6, 7 and 8, but now due to the flood situation it has been postponed to November 11,12 and 13 to ensure that farmers will be able to view the krishi mela online.
As per the plans, only 200 farmers will be allowed to visit the exhibition, which works out to 600 farmers in three days.
Question and answer sessions between farmers and experts, exhibition visit etc will become online. The experts will use the social media platforms for the purpose.
It can be recalled that all the mega events this year are scaled down due to the Covid 19 fear.
