Bengaluru: While reviewing the functioning of the Public Works Department in his Home Office of Krishna in Bengaluru on Tuesday August 17, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai directed the department officials to accord priority for repairing the roads damaged by the recent heavy rains in the different parts of the State.

Further he pointed out that the State Government has already released Rs 300 crore for the improvement of roads in rural parts of the State and directed that the money should be utilised in the places for repairing the damaged roads.

CM Bommai promised to hold a separate meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of the districts to smoothen the process of land acquisition.
