Bengaluru: The state government appointed Gaurav Gupta as the new commissioner of BBMP. He is replacing BH Anil Kumar.

He was the principal secretary,  commerce and industries department till now. He is a 1990 batch IAS officer.

Anil Kumar has been transferred as the additional chief secretary, department of health and family welfare.

No reason has been attributed to the sudden change in the BBMP commissioner.

Meanwhile, Ramana Reddy has been appointed as the new additional chief secretary, higher education department.
