Gang of four murder undertrial in Parappana Agrahara

Bengaluru: An undertrial was killed by a gang in the central prison in Parappana Agrahara on Friday in Bengaluru.

Ganesh(27), a native of Gubbi in Tumakuru district was assaulted by a gang of four over decorating a pooja corridor where a Ganesha idol had been installed.

According to sources the incident took place on Friday morning when the prisoners were having breakfast. The four undertrials picked a quarrel with Ganesh and soon it turned violent. He was beaten to death by the gang.

Sathish, Prabhu, Prashanth and Bharath – four accused have been arrested by the police.

The victim was a native of Gubbi in Tumakuru district and was working at a garage in the city. He was arrested by Vidyaranyapura police on January 12 for eve-teasing and was also charged with stalking. He had earlier been arrested for bike theft.
