Bengaluru: It has been reported that a fake Facebook account in the name of Former Minister and Congress Leader S. S. Mallikarjun was created by an unidentified account.

According to Mallikarjun, an account named SSM Davangere sent friend requests to many people. He added that those who accepted it received a message asking money transfer via Phone PE stating a medical emergency. The fraudster also claimed to return the money.

Further, Minister has stated that he would be lodging a complaint with cyber crime police seeking action against hackers.
