Four including employee nabbed in Rajalakshmi jewellers robbery case

Bengaluru: In a major breakthrough, the city police cracked a major jewellery shop heist in just one day by arresting four persons involved in the theft.

In a broad daylight robbery jewellry worth Rs 2 cr were stolen from Rajalakshmi jewellers on Sunday.

The police have arrested four robbers involved in the case and they are Gopalram (24), Paras Mal (35), A Manjunath (40) and N Muniyappa (46).

On August 5, a gang of four members entered Rajalakshmi Jewellery shop in Bagalur at 7.30 am and looted 6 kgs of gold jewellery and cash worth Rs.2 crore by threatening the staff with lethal weapons.

According to police, the prime accuse Gopalram was an ex- employee of the same shop for over a decade and hatched the plot to loot the shop in order to start business of his own.
