Bengaluru: The Jeevan Bhima Nagar police have arrested four men for allegedly misbehaving with a woman sub-inspector.

The police have identified the accused as Vidyananda, 26, Jittu, 25, Akhil, 26, and Sachin Dev, 25, residents of New Thippasandra.

The incident happened at 2 a.m. on Friday when Sub-Inspector Ashwini was on night rounds. When she spotted their vehicles parked on the road, she asked them to leave. The Sub-Inspector has alleged she was harassed by the accused whom she had chided for smoking in a public place and asked them to leave the place.

They allegedly refused and started abusing and misbehaving with her. They were taken to the police station. The sub-inspector has filed a case against the accused.

All four were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
