Bengaluru: Police arrested four people, including a film producer and a businessman, for defrauding site buyers in the city.

Manjunatha T. K., a film producer, and his friends K. K. Shivakumar, Chandrashekar, and Gopal Shivakumar have been identified as the accused.

According to sources, the accused would take advance money from investors on the pretext of selling sites.

As per Pushpak Kumar’s complaint, the accused set up a company called Eagle Tree Builders and Developers Pvt. Ltd. and approached him in September.

He also claimed that the accused defrauded him of roughly Rs. 2 lakh by giving him fake property agreements.
