Bengaluru: The Girinagar police have arrested four persons and seized 492 grams of brown sugar worth Rs. 28 lakh from them. The police have also seized Rs. 10,000 from them.

The police have identified the accused as Vijay Kumar (47), Basappa (43), Ponnuswamy (50) and Govindappan (45). The police nabbed them from a bus stop in Hosakerehalli in Girinagar while they were looking for prospective clients.

They are said to have confessed to purchasing the drugs from a Vinod Kumar, in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. All four are now in judicial custody.
