Former union minister MV Rajasekharan passes away

Bengaluru: MV Rajashekharan, 92, son in-law of former Chief Minister of Karnataka S Nijalingappa passed away on Monday, April 13. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.

Born and brought up in Maralavadi in Bengaluru in 1928, MV Rajasekharan served as a minister in UPA 1 under Manmohan Singh. He also served as the member of Rajya Sabha and state legislative council.

He served Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and All India Congress Committee (AICC) in various capacities.

According to his family sources, he was suffering from age related ailments and he was being treated at a private hospital in the city.
