Bengaluru: Former Governor of Karnataka TN Chaturvedi passed away on Sunday late night in Noida. He was 90-years-old.
It is said that Chaturvedi complained of severe chest pain and his family rushed him to a hospital immediately, but he was declared dead in the hospital. He served as the Governor of Karnataka from 2002-2007.
Born on Jan 19, 1929, he passed the Indian Civil Service and joined the IAS cadre. He was the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. He was awarded the Padmavibhushan in 1991.
His last rites would be performed on Tuesday or on Wednesday, said sources close to the family as his children are living abroad.
