Bengaluru: Former don Agni Sridhar got interim bail on Friday in a case pertaining to illegal arms and ammunitions allegedly recovered from his house. It may be recalled police raided Sridhar’s residence four days ago. During the raid, the police have arrested his close associate Syed Aman along with six of his bodyguards for allegedly possessing illegal arms and ammunitions.
Sridhar, who was later admitted to a hospital owing to health complications, approached the court seeking bail. On Friday, the 53rd City Civil and Sessions court granted him 15 days’ interim bail, after C.H. Hanumanthraya, counsel for Sridhar, argued that the police were trying to tarnish his client’s image as a fugitive.
Meanwhile, the police continued questioning history-sheeters Rohith and Sunil to ascertain their role in the shooting at Kogilu Cross in which Dasanapura APMC president was injured.
