Bengaluru: Former deputy chairman of the state legislative council, two time MLC Puttanna joined the BJP.

He will contest as the BJP candidate in the upcoming election for teacher’s constituency, Bengaluru for the state legislative council, said sources.

Puttanna joined BJP in the presence of CM BS Yediyurappa and party leader Aravind Limbavali. 

Puttanna, a prominent Vokkaliga leader from Ramanagar was once considered as close to former CM HD Kumaraswamy. But recently he fell out of his team forcing him to join the BJP.
