Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumarswamy said on Thursday February 10 that he will contest from the Chamundeshwari in 2023 Assembly elections.
Kumaraswamy said, “Let me contest from the Constituency.”
In the earlier election, G.T. Devegowda had emerged victorius against Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah by more than 35,000 votes. However, he has not involved himself in any party affairs since last three years. The efforts of JD (S) leaders to convince Devegowda too has not been effective.
In this background, Kumaraswamy had said that the party had closed its doors on Devegowda, and searching for a suitable candidate to field from the Chamundeshwari Constituency.
