Bengaluru: While the JD(S)has been trying to strengthen its hold in the state in view of the upcoming assembly elections, it is now likely to face another setback.

It is now learnt that five of the party’s MLAs have met up with Chief minister Siddaramaiah and have put forth some conditions for crossing over to the Congress party.

These MLAs who are unhappy with the internal administration of the JD(S) have reportedly asked Siddaramaiah an assurance of being allotted tickets during the next election and release of more funds to their respective constituencies after due consultations with the party high command before the switch over.

It is said that the CM has advised them to wait till the budget session of the legislature comes to an end whereafter he has assured them of arranging a meeting with top leaders of his party so that they can hold discussions and get assurance about ticket directly from them.

As per sources, these dissident MLAs have been in constant touch with the Congress through leaders of the earlier dissident group, Zameer Ahmed and Cheluvarayaswamy.
