Bengaluru: The Peenya police have arrested five people, including a minor, in connection with a murder of a married person. The police have identified the accused as Shashikumar (25) from Mysuru, Vinutha (22), the wife of late Varadaraj, Bengaluru, Vikas alias Vicky (22) from Mandya, K Raghu (21), from Pandavapura in Mandya district. The police have also arrested one minor in this connection.According to the police, Vinutha got married with Varadaraju in 2011. The couples have a four-year-old child. The police sources said, Vinutha and Shashikumar are childhood friends and are in love. Vinutha continued her love affair with Shashikumar even after her marriage with Varadaraju. Meanwhile, Varadaraju came to know about his wife’s love affair with Shashikumar and started harassing her. Unable to bear with the harassment of her husband, she contacted Shashikumar over the phone and allegedly plotted with him to have her husband murdered for Rs 1.50 lakh supari.

The police have seized a TVS Apache bike (KA-11 Y-6541) and weapons used in the crime from the accused.
