Bengaluru: In a shocking incident a man died after gulping five bottles of alcohol in a bid to win a bet.

A 45-year-old man died after he downed five bottles of alcohol, after a bet with a friend and died due to alcohol poising.

Deceased is identified as Purushotham(45) from Chickabalapur.

Reportedly, Purushotham was given by a challenge by his friend Naveen’s in a party. Following this, though Purushotham was rushed to hospital, he died.

Chickaballapur police have registered a case.
