Bengaluru: A gambler lost his life after a tiff that broke out between him and his friends over mere Rs 50.

The victim is Shivaraj (27). He was stabbed to death by his friends while they were gambling at Srirampuram area on December 20.

It is said that Shivraj’s friend-Manja alias Koli Manja and Shivu were gambling. The fact that Shivraj had cheated during the game with Rs 50 raged Manja, who hurled abuses at Shivraj and then stabbed him.

Manja and Shivu fled the spot leaving Shivraj in pool of blood. The locals who spotted Shivraj, informed police about the same. However, when Shivraj was rushed to hospital, the authorities declared him brought dead.

The police have managed to arrest Manja, but Shivu is absconding. Manja was a drug addict, said the police.
