Bengaluru: A few leaders of the state including BL Shankar, YSV Dutta, BR Patil, Basavaraja Rayareddy and VR Sudarshan have announced that they will consume only two meals a day till the COVID-19 crisis is over and situation returns to normalcy in the country.

Speaking to the reporters in Vemagal in Kolar district, VR Sudarshan, a senior Congress leader said, there is an urgent need of taking the economy back to the Gandhiji’s module.

“We will share one time meal with the poor. Need of the hour is unity among all the people and leaders,” he said.

Sudarshan and other leaders observed a day’s fast on Friday in support of implementation of Gandhiji’s economic module.
