Bengaluru: Responding to the statement of former chief minister Siddaramaiah that the state exchequer is running dry, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has said that the real picture of the state’s exchequer will be out after the budget presentation.

Siddaramaiah, in a tweet, had said that the officials are worried and are wondering how to draft the budget because the state treasury is in a pathetic state.

Hitting back at the former chief minister, BSY, while addressing the reporters in Suthur Mutt, said that the budget will be presented in March and he will answer Siddaramaiah during the budget session to be held on March 5.

“He will then know if the exchequer has gone dry or not,” said the CM.

Talking about his recent visit to Davos to take part in the Global Investors’ Meet, BSY said that he is the only CM after SM Krishna to have attended the meet.

“The visit was fruitful,” he said.
