Bengaluru: The judicial custody of former minister Vinay Kulkarni, who was arrested in connection with the murder of BJP worker Yogesh Gowda, has been extended till January 22.

It can be recalled that in November, Kulkarni was arrested by the CBI for his alleged involvement in the murder of Yogesh Gowda in the Dharwad district.

Kulkarni, a Congress leader and former minister for mines and geology was suspected by the CBI of being evasive during his questioning in connection with the case and sought custodial interrogation to reveal the conspiracy behind the murder.

Yogesh Gowda, a member of the Zilla Panchayat member, was found murdered in his gym in Dharwad on June 15, 2016. The case was handed over to the CBI after the BJP formed the government in the state.
