Bangalore :In order to ensure security to women, the  government has planned to setup women police stations in every district, said Home minister K J George in the legislative assembly.
Answering a question from Allam Prabhu Patil, during question hour, he said 10 women police stations have already been setup. Remaining stations will be installed step by step.

Reservation for women in the department has been increased to 20 per cent from 10 per cent.

The Department has taken many actions to stop domestic violence, rape of women and atrocities against women. We will also organise awareness programmes in co operation with Women and child welfare department and UNICEF, he said.
