Bengaluru: One of the most popular tourist destinations in Bengaluru city is Nandibetta (Nandi Hills), located in the Doddaballapur taluk at the city’s outskirts. But, here is a new year shocker for tourists.
Starting from January 1, 2019, all the fees at this hill station will be doubled.
According to the horticulture department sources, starting from January 1, the entry fee will be doubled from the existing Rs 10 to Rs 20. The parking fee per hour will be Rs 20 which is also doubled. There is, however, no change in the camera fee.
Authorities have pointed at the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for the increase in the ticket rate. “Starting from January 1, 18% tax will be levied on each ticket. It has resulted in the increase,” informed authorities.
