Bengaluru: An incident in which the employer of a private company was kidnapped by his employees recently took place in the city. The reason for the employees taking such an extreme step is because they were not paid salary for seven months. The police have arrested four of the accused.

Sujay (23), who was running a private company near Ulsoor, did not pay the employees’ salary since September 2018. Frustrated and disappointed by this, his employees decided to kidnap him.

The employees kidnapped Sujay on March 21, and kept him in their friend’s house in HSR Layout, where they reportedly physically tortured him and demanded for their dues. Sujay was left free only after he assured the kidnappers that he will pay their dues as soon as possible.

Once he was set free, Sujay filed a complaint against his kidnappers in Ulsoor police station. The police have been successful in arresting four of the accused. Three more are absconding, and the police are searching for them.
