Bengaluru: Eminent Kannada litterateur Sa Shi Marulayya (85) passed away due to heart failure at the Jayadeva Institute of Cardio Vascular Sciences and Research in Bengaluru on Friday, February 5.

He was admitted in Jayadeva hospital on January 22 with a heart condition.  He was said to be in a semi conscious state and was disoriented. Later, his condition deteriorated.

The body will be brought to his residence in Vijayanagar today.

According to his wish, the body will be donated to GSS Medical College in Mysuru.
