Elderly couple found murdered at their residence in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: An elderly couple was found dead at their residence -Coles Park road in Frazer town late on Sunday, April 24.

The deceased have been identified as Parvatharaju (61) and his wife Chandrakala (55). The bodies were found in decomposed state and police suspect they were murdered at least two days ago.

According to police, the bodies had multiple stab injuries and their throats were slit.

The DCP (east) N Satish Kumar said the killers forced entry into house through window and locked the door from outside after the act.

The incident came to light when foul smell started emanating from the house, which compelled neighbours to informed the police.

The couple were expecting their son to return to India from US next month.

The couple was last found on Friday morning.

Fifth in five years

This incident is the fifth one in last five years where couples were brutally murdered in the city.

In last June month a young couple were murdered at their residence by relatives for getting into intercaste marriage in Hesaraghatta.

In 2012 and 2014 also elderly couples were murdered in JP Nagar, Rammurthynagar and cotton pet respectively.
