

Bengaluru: Union health ministry has notified 8 districts of the state as the Covid 19 hotspots.
According to the list published by the ministry, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Urban, Mysuru, Belagavi, Bidar,
Kalaburugi, Bagalkot, and Dharward are notified as the CCovid 19 hotspots.
This list has been prepared based on the number of positive cases reported in these districts.
Meanwhile, the Mysuru has over taken Bengaluru Urban in terms of number of active cases. Mysuru has 46 active cases while it has come down to 36 in the Bengaluru urban district.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) too, on Tuesday listed 38 localities across the city as Covid-19 hotspots. Of these, 36 areas were deemed hotspots on the basis of positive cases.
Two areas were added on the basis of number of people under quarantine.
The Union Health Ministry has identified 170 districts as COVID-19 hotspots and 207 districts as potential hotspots in the country.
