Each ward under BBMP to get Rs 25 lakhs for fight against COVID-19

Bengaluru: With the number of Covid-19 cases increasing day-by-day in the city, the BBMP has decided to ramp up its Coronavirus containment measures. As per the plan, the BBMP decided to spend Rs 50 crores in its fight against Covid-19. This means that each ward will get Rs 25 lakhs for this purpose.

“This amount will be used for multiple purposes, from testing to feeding the needy. There is no shortage of funds for Covid-19 related works,” said revenue minister R Ashoka.

“The BBMP will announce a special package for the Covid-19 works in its Monday budget,” he said.

Minister Ashoka also mentioned that the state government is taking all neccessary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19. “We will soon flatten the curve in the state,” he said.
